MINARET College students got a local government lesson from a man very much in the know.
In his mayoral robes and chain, Greater Dandenong mayor Heang Tak visited the Keysborough school on Monday 2 May to address Year 6 students about the three levels of government, speaking particularly about councils.
Student Anisa said the talk was very informative and she appreciated learning about local government from the mayor himself.
She was most intrigued by the fact that the gold mayoral chain featured the names of the previous mayors.
Classmate Muhammad thought it was an honour and privilege to have the mayor visit the school.
He said Cr Tak was friendly and a light-hearted speaker.
