Children home alone during break-in

By CASEY NEILL

Up to six men smashed their way into a Dandenong home where four children were home alone.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Nic Hayes said their parents were out when the burglars broke a rear glass sliding door about 9.45pm on Tuesday 7 June.
They went through the Keating Crescent home and left with electronic items.
Det Sen Const Hayes said the men went to an adjacent parkland and were last seen travelling east on Dedina Walk and getting into a dark-coloured SUV.
“There’s several different ways out from there,” he said.
He urged anyone with security footage from surrounding streets to call police.
Det Sen Const Hayes said the children were not injured during the burglary, but blood from one of the men was found inside the premises.
