Two men leave site of ute arson

By CASEY NEILL

Vandals torched a ute in a Dandenong laneway.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Nic Hayes said the suspects drove the Ford ute into the alley off Brooklyn Avenue about 3.50am on Wednesday 8 June before setting it alight.
A witness spotted the fire from his home on the other side of Dandenong Creek and called triple-zero.
The CFA attended and extinguished the blaze.
Det Sen Const Hayes said security footage obtained from the area showed two men leaving the scene.
He urged anyone else with security footage of the surrounding area and any witnesses to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
