Drivers beware: car bumping incidents are on the rise, Greater Dandenong Neighbourhood Watch is warning.
Car bumping refers to a driver “slightly knocking” their car into another on the road with the intention of stealing the car when the driver stops to inspect the damage.
Greater Dandenong Neighbourhood Watch urged drivers who feared they were a victim of the practice to call triple-zero and report the other car’s licence plate number “or drive to the nearest police station without leaving the vehicle”.
