Music down memory lane

Dandenong will host a psychedelic trip down memory lane in August.
California Dreaming – The Music of the Mamas and the Papas has been touring Australia since 2014 and will hit the Drum Theatre stage on Friday 19 August.
Cass Elliot, Denny Doherty, Michelle Phillips and John Phillips were The Mamas and the Papas.
The group sold 40 million albums world-wide during its short and turbulent history.
Alana Tranter, Michelle Brasier, James Cutler and Evan Lever will share stories about The Mamas and the Papas between songs including Monday Monday, San Francisco, Dedicated to the One I Love, Make Your Own Kind of Music, California Dreamin’ and Dream a Little Dream.
The performance at Drum Theatre, corner Lonsdale and Walker streets, will start at 7.30pm. Visit www.drumtheatre.com.au or call 8571 1666 to book. Tickets are priced from $29.50.
