It’s down the hatch for Dandy’s donut king

There’s now no doubt that Melbourne Salvo can down a Dandee Donut at high-speed – and high volume.
He took out the Dandee Donut Eating Competition at Dandenong Market on Sunday 4 September.
Over five two-minute rounds, 25 doughnut fans devoured as many of the deep-fried, jam-filled, sugar-coated balls as they could.
The contestant who ate the most doughnuts in each round went through to the final, where they competed to see how quickly they could eat 20 Dandee Donuts.
Melbourne Savo had scoffed down 17 when the last of his opponents waved the white flag.
He was crowned the Dandee Donut Champion and took home $200 worth of Dandenong Market vouchers.
