Daring CCTV theft from business

A thief armed with a knife and a sense of irony stole a CCTV system from a Dandenong business.
He entered the Gladstone Road premises about 3.10pm on Thursday 15 September and selected the surveillance system.
Police said the man walked past a staff member on his way out of the store, produced a knife and continued walking to the exit.
Another staff member spoke to him and he again produced the knife, had a brief exchange with the employee and left the store.
He was observed getting into a blue or black Holden. A second person was waiting in the vehicle.
The thief was described as Caucasian, aged in his twenties and of average build, and was wearing an orange top, grey pants and a baseball cap.
Police urged any witnesses to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
