Greater Dandenong schools will share almost $500,000 in boosted maintenance funding.
Noble Park North’s Carwatha College will receive $140,000 under the Planned Maintenance Program.
Dandenong North Primary will use $148,000, Springvale Rise Primary $138,000, Dandenong Primary $13,000 and Dandenong South Primary $6000.
Dandenong MP Gabrielle Williams said the money would help the schools to refurbish, demolish, or replace buildings that fell below minimum standards.
“Our local schools do an incredible job building the leaders of tomorrow, and maintaining quality educational facilities that keep pace with contemporary programs is an important part of that,“ she said.
“Dandenong North Primary School is a great local school that prides itself on excellence.
“This funding boost will mean its facilities can be upgraded to match the high quality teaching and learning environment the school provides.”
