Samurai sword found in crashed car

Police found a samurai sword in a stolen car following several collisions in Dandenong.
Greater Dandenong CIU Senior Constable Riley Wesley said the Honda CRV was travelling west on Heatherton Road about 8.40pm on Sunday 12 March.
Police said the vehicle then lost control and collided with another vehicle and trailer, and then travelled another 180 meters before colliding with a traffic light.
Sen Const Wesley said that emergency services had to free a 28-year-old Narre Warren man from the Honda and found a samurai sword behind the driver’s seat.
Police said the man appeared to be drug-affected.
He was taken to Dandenong Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
