Two men suffered burns when fire engulfed a Noble Park North home.
Paramedics were called to the home about 1.55am on Friday 5 May.
They treated a man aged in his 40s for burns to his face, arms and chest and took him to The Alfred hospital in a serious condition.
A man aged in his 30s suffered minor burns to his face and was taken to Dandenong Hospital in a stable condition.
A CFA spokeswoman said crews on five fire trucks responded to the report of a gas heater on fire up against a house at 1.49am.
The fire was declared under control at 2.02am.
