Toddler safe and sound after Amber Alert

A toddler who went missing from Springvale sparked Victoria Police’s first Facebook Amber Alert.
On Friday 23 June, police appealed for help to find Milena Malkic, 2, who was last seen in Springvale on Thursday 15 June.
They believed she might be with her parents Nadia Malkic and Joshua Coates.
The pair attended the Dandenong police station with a safe and well Milena on Saturday 24 June.
The Amber Alert system was launched nationally on Thursday 22 June.
The system pushes child abduction alerts into a Facebook user’s news feed if they are in the same area as the missing child.
Only cases where a child is at risk of death or serious injury qualify for Amber Alert.
