Shining a light on liquor louts

Police arrested 18 people during a blitz on unruly behaviour at Greater Dandenong pubs.
Operation Shining ran between January and March and targeted liquor licence and public order-related offences, including drinking offences, assaults and riotous behaviour.
Police visited 75 licenced premises, made 18 arrests, processed 19 offenders, and issued 21 penalty notices, 10 crime penalty notices, two cautions, four banning notices, one defect notice and an impound notice.
They said the operation had been a success and would continue into the future.
