Three…ways to get more tech-savvy

 1. Library Tech Assist runs at the Dandenong and Springvale libraries.

The free drop-in sessions provide on-the-spot help with using online research and study tools, downloading e-resources, internet searching, email, online shopping and more.

No appointments are required.

The Dandenong sessions run from 10am to noon Mondays and 3pm to 5pm on Thursdays.

Springvale’s are from 10am to noon on Tuesdays and 3pm to 5pm on Wednesdays.

2. As part of the Library and Information Week, Springvale Library is hosting an Introduction to Smartphones workshop.

Participants can learn the basics of using a smart phone with a touch screen at the 9.30am to 11.30am session on Tuesday 22 May.

Numbers are limited and bookings are required. Call 1300 630 920.

3. Dandenong Library will host fun and interactive workshop Introduction to Facebook from 9.30am to 11.30am on Thursday 24 May.

Participants will learn how to create a Facebook profile and connect with family and friends.

The event is free but there are limited spots available. Call 1300 630 920.
