Woman robbed near Springvale station

A 41-year-old woman has been attacked and robbed as he walked home from Springvale railway station.

The victim was shoved to the ground from behind on Balmoral Avenue about 11pm on Wednesday 16 January.

Two males stood over her and silently grabbed her handbag, which contained her phone and cash.

The robbers, described as dark-skinned, fled south on foot on Royal Avenue.

As a result of the attack, the woman suffered a swollen eye and grazed arms.

Police are seeking any information on the robbery, including from a jogger wearing a white singlet who came to the victim’s aid.
