Four teenagers in an allegedly stolen SUV have been arrested after being followed by police across a band of South East suburbs.
The Nissan X-Trail fled as police tried to intercept it on Heatherton Road, Dandenong about 1am on Wednesday 17 July, police say.
Police monitored it through suburbs including Rowville, Dandenong, Lyndhurst, Skye, Frankston and Carrum Downs.
Its Air Wing spotted the vehicle coming to a halt on Frankston-Dandenong Road, Carrum Downs, police say.
The vehicle’s occupants allegedly fled on foot, into a home’s backyard on Wedge Road.
A 17-year-old girl and a 19-year-old woman, both of Frankston, were arrested at the scene.
The Dog Squad helped to track down two boys from Carrum Downs, aged 16 and 17.
The car was allegedly stolen from outside an address on Blaxland Avenue, Frankston South.
Police believe a fifth person may be still on the run.
