Echo Taskforce raids in Doveton, Brunswick

An address in Doveton has been raided by Victoria Police members of its anti-outlaw motorcycle gang taskforce.

Echo Taskforce detectives executed two warrants, at a Bandidos clubhouse in Brunswick and at a property in Doveton, on the morning of Thursday 1 August.

A 48-year-old man was arrested, and a loaded firearm and drugs believed to be steroids were seized from the clubhouse, police say.

He was charged with possessing an unregistered handgun, possessing a drug of dependence and possessing ammunition without a licence.

He was bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 14 November.

No one was arrested and no items were seized from the Doveton property.
