London 2012: O’Hea and Rangers end Opals campaign with bronze

DANDENONG Rangers star Jenna O’Hea played a key role in the Opals’ bronze medal-winning game.

O’Hea had five assists and five rebounds and shot two points as the Opals won 83-74 against Russia. Stars were Lauren Jackson with 25 points, and Krist Harrower, 21 points.

Former Ranger Abby Bishop also had two assists in 17 minutes of game time.

Dandenong Ranges junior star Liz Cambage – a standout at the Games – only had 12 minutes on court and shot just three points.

Ranger Kath Macleod didn’t play in the bronze-medal playoff, while former Ranger Sam Richards shot two points after just eight minutes on court.
