Preschool needs a school crossing

Dandenong West Pre-School in Fifth Avenue has a safety problem with drivers speeding and people who don’t park properly.

As a parent of three kids, I am appalled that Greater Dandenong Council has done so little to help get a crossing or paint the road o help parents and children cross the road to the preschool. On the way to preschool, we need to teach our preschoolers where it is safe for them to cross the road.

Most of the schools in the area have a lollipop person or a safe crossing area. Why can’t we have one? Visual signs help children and new arrivals to follow the road rules.
