Love is in the air during next week’s Victorian Seniors Festival Week in Greater Dandenong – crooner Derrick J is one of the headline acts for a week of free seniors entertainment and activities.
On October 11, he will share his renowned golden voice during his repertoire of romantic songs in a ‘Morning Melodies’ concert.
The Wantirna South singer has performed at five-star hotels overseas, including the Las Vegas Hilton last year.
He says his 100 YouTube clips, which have scored more than 500,000 hits, helped him to secure the Las Vegas gig. In his 25-year career, he has produced eight albums, including two gold.
The festival, which starts Monday, is littered with sports, education, foods and well-being workshops until October 12.
Derrick J’s free concert is on at 10-11.30am on October 11 at Springvale Town Hall. Free refreshments will be provided. Bookings: 8558 7955.
