Lyndhurst byelection: Pakula's crime rate concerns

Lyndhurst byelection candidate Martin Pakula says the government’s law and order strategy has failed in Greater Dandenong. The ALP candidate said $65 million in cuts to Victoria Police and the loss of opportunities for young people due to TAFE cuts had contributed to a 6.9 per cent rise in crime this year. He said if in government, Labor would restore funding to TAFEs when the state budget returned a $100 million surplus.
