Bomb explodes at Bandidos' Dandenong clubhouse

By CAMERON LUCADOU-WELLS

A BOMB exploded outside an outlaw bikie gang’s clubhouse in Dandenong on Wednesday.

On Thursday, police arson and explosive squad detectives were at work outside the Bandidos chapter’s clubhouse in a gated industrial estate in Dunn Crescent.

Police say they were told of the incident about noon on Thursday.

Detective Sergeant Lionel Joseph said no one was injured in the blast outside the clubhouse’s steel-armoured front door, within an alley of factories fronted by roll-a-doors and surveilled by a cluster of closed-circuit cameras.

As pictures taken by the Dandenong Journal show, there was visible damage to a cage around a gas meter outside the door.

Detective Sergeant Joseph said it was too early to know if the bomb was linked to recent incidents involving outlaw bikie clubs.

The Hells Angels’ Nomads chapter in Seaford was targeted by a drive-by shooting in June. Days later, bullets were fired into a Doveton house.
