DANDENONG Rangers basketballer Brent Hobba is the latest to add his signature to the National Basketball League’s (NBL) new franchise team the South Dragons.
After spending last season as a development player with his hometown Perth Wildcats, 24-year-old Hobba has enjoyed a successful season with the Rangers and had a couple of offers from NBL clubs for the upcoming season.
Discussing the signing, Hobba said it was awesome and he was really excited.
“Last year with the Wildcats was more about keeping up my fitness and helping them out with training,” he said.
The 205cm forward is looking forward to working under former NBA star Mark Price and hopes to continue to improve.
“I want to play in the NBL for a number of years and get a game consistently. I want to make a contribution to the team,” he said.
