Retailers look to curb theft

DANDENONG retailers can learn more about how to tackle theft at a Retail Traders’ Association meeting in September.
The meeting will discuss shoplifting methods used by suspects, arrest powers and how to deter offences in a retail environment.
Dandenong Retail Traders’ Association chairperson Roy Aspinall said theft was an ever-present concern for retailers.”
“This is an important evening for all retailers to attend,” he said.
Senior Sergeant Gary Allen from the Regional Response Unit will be the guest speaker at the event, outlining the police’s role in retail theft.
The meeting is a part of Dandenong Mini Business Week running from 4-8 September.
The meeting will be held at 6pm on 5 September at the Grand at Dandenong, 139 Thomas Street, Dandenong.
