A DAYTIME stabbing at Dandenong Plaza on Monday left a 39-year-old Dandenong man with life-threatening injuries.
Greater Dandenong CIU detectives are investigating the incident, which happened shortly after 4pm on 18 February in the McCrae Street car park.
Police said two men had an argument which escalated to a physical fight. One man then stabbed the other in the back with a knife and ran off.
An ambulance took the man in a serious but stable condition to The Alfred hospital where he underwent surgery.
An Alfred spokesman said on Tuesday that the man remained in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police said the circumstances surrounding the attack were yet to be established but believed several people were in the car park when the stabbing occurred.
