Lifetime of service

GRAHAM Don has received a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for his service to the Springvale community and to ex-service welfare.
He’s been the Springvale Learning and Activities Centre president since 2007 and was involved with the club’s two previous forms – Springvale Community Centre and Springvale Community Youth Club – since 1977.
He was a Keysborough Kindergarten committee member, is involved with the Springvale RSL sub-branch and was the Naval Association of Australia’s Dandenong sub-section secretary.
Mr Don has also served as the Naval Association of Australia national secretary, deputy councillor for Victoria, Victorian secretary/treasurer, pensions and welfare officer and merchandise officer.
He won the City of Greater Dandenong Non-Resident of the Year title at this year’s Australia Day awards.
