Gallery: Harrowing wheelchair ride in Springvale South

AUDA House residents face a harrowing 30-minute ride in their
wheelchairs to reach a medical clinic directly across from them on
Springvale Road, Springvale South.

Greater Dandenong councillor Sean
O’Reilly and the Journal joined two of the house’s six residents for a
tour of the route.

Cr O’Reilly got into an electric wheelchair for the
first time to experience the problems first-hand.

The house’s residents,
five of whom are wheelchair bound, visit the medical clinic each week.
They want a controlled crossing to connect them directly to the clinic.
