A MAN required eye surgery after being stabbed while he slept at a Noble Park house party last Sunday morning.
Police say the 40-year-old Noble Park man, a visitor to the Ellt Crescent home, was asleep on a couch when a person stabbed him in the right eye with a ‘‘sharp object’’ about 12.30am.
Acting Detective Sergeant Luke Kirton, of Greater Dandenong CIU, said the victim’s eye may be permanently damaged.
Detective Kirton said many of the 10-12 party-goers at the house at the time were unknown to the host.
‘‘We’re trying to identify any persons at the party to assist with the investigation.’’
