Balloon in surprise Keysborough landing

Residents were surprised by a hot-air balloon landing in parkland in Liverpool Drive, Keysborough, on March 30. Maree Jordan said she was alarmed by the sound of loud gas flares above her Loxwood Avenue house. “It’s lucky the balloon didn’t strike power lines. It was so close to the houses. We’ve never seen anything like that here,” she said. Kiff Saunders, director of Global Ballooning, said the landing was “nothing untoward”. “We’ve been landing in parks around Melbourne for the past 25 years.”
