Boy cautioned for making false report of knife incident in Noble Park

AN 11-year-old boy has been cautioned for making a false report about being threatened by a knife in Noble Park last Friday.

Detective Sergeant Miro Majstorovic, of Greater Dandenong CIU, said false reports were a costly waste of investigators’ ‘‘resources, money and time’’.

‘‘This got reported at 1pm [last Friday] and required two days of investigation until it was established it was a false report.

‘‘If it was an adult involved, they could go to court and face a summary offence.’’
