FAMOUS children’s book illustrator Terry Denton is bringing an exhibition of his most colourful and wacky works to Dandenong in August.
The Walker Street Gallery will host the Children Just Love to Laugh exhibition beginning 1 August and closing on 28 August.
In a career spanning 20 years Terry Denton has produced more than 40 books for children, working with some of the best writers in Australia such as Paul Jennings, Andy Griffiths and Mem Fox.
His books have won many awards and the most cherished by Terry are the more than 20 children’s choice awards he has won, proving that children just love to laugh. Terry has written and illustrated 17 books of his own, his Gasp! and Storymaze series being the best known.
His latest book is a collection of three stories called Wombat and Fox: Tales of the City.
Walker Street Gallery coordinator Cathy Van Ee encouraged parents to bring their children along
There’s also a chance to meet Terry at the official opening on 2 August at 6pm.
Walker Street Gallery will be open 11am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and 11am to 3pm on Saturdays. The gallery is on the corner of Walker and Robinson Streets, Dandenong.
