U3A has a party plan

GREATER Dandenong’s University of the Third Age (U3A) is celebrating its 20th birthday.
The club for retirees started in Potter Street in March 1994. It’s now based in Noble Park, has more than 450 members and runs about 40 classes throughout the municipality each week.
Volunteer tutors share their knowledge with members, who pay an annual membership fee to attend as many classes as they like.
Greater Dandenong U3A is marking two decades of fun, friendship and learning with a luncheon at the Waltzing Matilda on Monday 3 March, sausage sizzles, an open day and karaoke plus Devonshire tea.
Vice-president Shirley Constantine is collating a history to mark the milestone and is calling for submissions.
Visit dandenongu3a.com.au for more information.
