GREATER Dandenong’s Business Development Centre has vowed to repeat its popular Speed Networking event that piloted in August.
The format, light-heartedly compared to speed dating, pitches smaller businesses together in a room with each having a designated amount of time to briefly network with the other, before moving on.
Immediately afterwards, an informal networking session allows businesses to follow-up on contacts made.
City mayor Youhorn Chea pitched in his support with a written statement praising the program. “Many of the participants have already established new business relationships as a result of the session, which is a fantastic outcome,” Cr Chea said.
“The event was so successful that almost all of the participants were still networking an hour after the event formally concluded.”
To receive notification of future Speed Networking events, email the council’s industry development coordinator Paula Brennan at pbrenn @cgd.vic.gov.au or phone 9238 1573.
