SIMPLE choices in everyday life can help to keep the environment clean and green.
This was the message from Sunday’s Sustainability Festival at Dandenong Market, which was held by the City of Greater Dandenong and attracted more than 2000 visitors.
The free event celebrated environmental sustainability through activities, games, demonstrations and entertainment.
Among the activities, attendees learnt new ways of growing, preparing and cooking food, tried their hand at gardening, met live animals, and pedalled to produce their own smoothies and music.
The council had sustainability experts and environmental and planning officers on hand to answer questions.
