Men attacked in boarding house

By CASEY NEILL

TWO men have attacked residents at a Dandenong boarding house, in their bedrooms.
Police said they entered the Hemmings Street house about 9.45pm on 9 May and assaulted a 36-year-old man in the hallway and then his bedroom, and threatened him with a knife.
They then kicked in the door to a 31-year-old man’s room and assaulted him.
The victims suffered lacerations, cuts and bruises and attended Dandenong Hospital for treatment.
Nothing was stolen during the attack.
Police arrested a 37-year-old Hampton Park over the incident on 12 May and charged him with aggravated burglary and assault. He was bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 8 July.
The investigation continues.
