Man in critical condition

By Casey Neill

A MAN suffered life threatening injuries during an altercation outside a Springvale South hotel last night (Friday).
The 24-year-old Springvale South man left the Heatherton Road venue with another man about 11.10pm on 5 June and they argued in the car park.
Police believe the victim was punched to the face and fell to the ground.
A passer-by raised the alarm and emergency services were notified.
The victim regained consciousness and was taken to Monash Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
A 20-year-old Endeavour Hills man was arrested at the scene and interviewed by police.
He has been released pending further enquiries.
It is believed the two men are known to each other.
Dandenong CIU detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward and in particular would like to speak to the driver of a dark-coloured vehicle that was in the area at the time of the incident.
Call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
