A million ways to spoil them all

A MAN from Dandenong North was imagining all of the presents he could put under the Christmas tree for his grandchildren soon after discovering he’d won more than $1 million in last night’s Monday and Wednesday Lotto draw.
The overjoyed grandfather was stunned when a Tatts official broke the news that he had won division one and other divisional prizes with his System 7 QuickPick entry, bringing the total prize amount to $1,0003,187.20.
“That’s what I won? More than $1 million? Oh my god!” he cried out.
“This is great news to get just in time for Christmas. The whole family comes over to our home to celebrate on Christmas Day and now I can really spoil my grandkids.
“I would also like to take the family away on a holiday to Greece.
“My wife will be the first person I tell and I can’t wait to share the news with her as soon as I get home.”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry in Monday and Wednesday Lotto from Brady Road Family Supermarket at 38-44 Brady Road, Dandenong North.
Supermarket owner Jouhaina Melrose couldn’t contain her excitement when she discovered that one of her customers was now a millionaire.
“Oh my goodness! You’ve shocked me. Pinch me! That’s never ever happened before.” she said.
“I can’t wait to tell my family – we’ve been waiting for this day for a long time.
“We’ll always remember November 4, 2015, as the day that one of our customers had their numbers drawn and became a division one winner. Now that we’ve sold our first I hope there are many more division one wins to come for our store.”
