Looking to learn

Greater Dandenong Libraries will celebrate the role science, technology and the arts play in everyday lives throughout August.
A range of programs will be introduced at Springvale and Dandenong libraries throughout the month.
Visitors to the library will have the opportunity to participate in everything from gaming development, comic book making to a workshop for tech savvy seniors.
The Australian Poetry Slam Heats will also be held at Dandenong Library on Friday, 26 August.
Participants can speak, scream, whisper or even sing their stories, poems, lyrics or monologues and the audience will be the judge.
Winners from the state competition will compete in the national finals in October, with the opportunity to perform and present workshops at the International Writers’ and Readers Festival in China and Indonesia in 2017.
Bookings required for all events.
