Parents were invited to bring their kids to library story time sessions in traditional dress or orange clothing to celebrate Cultural Diversity Week.
The Dandenong and Springvale libraries host Toddler Time and Storytime each week.
Attendees for the Monday 20 and Thursday 23 March sessions were encouraged to get into the Cultural Diversity Week spirit.
The Victorian Multicultural Commission-organised event coincided with the United Nations Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on Tuesday 21 March, known as Harmony Day.
The free Storytime and Toddler Time sessions are designed to help children aged three and over to develop their imagination and vocabulary.
They encourage a love of books and reading and help carers to learn songs, fingerplays and nursery rhymes that children can enjoy at home.
