A thief dragged a 69-year-old woman along a Springvale footpath during a robbery.
The victim was walking home from the shopping centre through Oak Grove about 11am on Sunday, 13 August when a man approached her from behind.
He tried to grab her handbag and a struggle ensued.
Police said the thief dragged the woman along the ground, causing facial injuries and grazes to her knees.
He then ran off with her bag towards View Road.
The victim’s credit cards were later used.
Police believe a second man seen getting into a small, champagne-coloured sedan might also have been involved.
