A MAN was assaulted and his phone was stolen in Springvale on Friday.
Police said that about 10.45pm, a 32-year-old man was on a city-bound train from Dandenong when an unknown man approached him.
Police said the two began talking and both got off the train at Springvale. They walked to the intersection of Lightwood and Springvale roads when the 32-year-old was assaulted and his phone stolen.
The offender is described as aged 22, Australian/Caucasian, 150cm in height with short black hair. He was wearing a black beanie and a yellow or creamed colour jumper.
