IN a topsy-turvy contest at Robinson Reserve, Parkfield has posted a modest 185 against Doveton in the Dandenong and District Cricket Association Turf One match-up.
An early wicket to Matt Hutchinson (1/15) had Parkfield on the back foot but despite a few close calls, Ryan Pitts (23) helped lift his team pass 50 for the loss of only one wicket.
Dale Harris (35) continued on where Pitts left off and it appeared Parkfield was set for a 200-plus total.
However, Corrie Wilson (3/58) came to the aid of Doveton and dispatched the final three wickets for 20 runs.

It was a game of big time performances as Buckley Ridges’ opener Suren Ekanayake hit a ton that was matched by Berwick’s Ashley Henry, who had a hand in eight of the 10 dismissals.
A 102-run opening stand by Ekanayake (102) and Richard Hope (50) had the undefeated Bears planning out a potentially gruelling run chase at Arch Brown Reserve.
However, a season-best 7/67 by Ashley Henry (who also effected the run out of Ekanayake) turned the 1/137 scorecard to all out for 207.
Berwick started off strongly with the bat, leaving the crease at the end of day’s play at 0/16.
@BT Sub Sport News:Hallam-Kalora Park v Coomoora
Despite wet conditions making scoring tough, Hallam-Kalora Park was able to post one of the larger totals of round six at home against Coomoora.
The 188 was initially set up by a top order that managed to score 150 by the time the fifth wicket fell.
Nicholas Cox (59) was the best of the top order but, when Tim Beech (4/35) had the aggressive batter caught out, the wickets began to fall quickly.
Troy Jeffs (3/35) worked in tandem with Beech to remove the final seven batsmen for 32 runs.
Coomoora are 0/4 in reply.
@BT Sub Sport News:St Mary’s v Mordialloc
The Carroll Reserve wicket was similar to a revolving door for the Mordialloc batters as St Mary’s restricted their opponents to only 122.
Young gun Cory Ely spearheaded the bowling effort by taking two wickets and allowing only two runs from his eight overs.
Luke Davies backed up his team-mate’s performance by taking four wickets and causing a run out.
Leon Kennedy (66) flew the flag for Mordialloc but could only watch as his team crumbled around him.
St Mary’s was 1/14 at stumps.
@BT Sub Sport News:Narre Warren v Springvale South
After recording their first win two rounds ago and narrowly missing the chance to make it a second last week, Narre Warren has continued their good form in the lead up to Christmas by scoring 192 against Springvale South.
First drop Gary Freear (45) put the home town in a comfortable position early but a good comeback with the ball by opener Alecs Roberts (4/63) restricted the total to 5/97.
Coming in at sixth, Jarryd Leworthy (25) rebooted the run scoring and Ben Carter (18 off 89 balls) was the immovable rock at the other end that allowed the lower order to hit out to an eventual total of 192.
To reinforce the good score, Narre Warren took an early Springvale South wicket and in reply the visitors are 1/11.
@BT Sub Sport News:Keysborough v North Dandenong
On winning the toss, North Dandenong were content with letting their opponents score in wet conditions and apart from a middle of the order partnership, will not be fussed with chasing 168 next week.
Varon Pradeep (36) and captain Andre Peters (43) combined for 61 runs but most importantly, restrained the rapid fall of wickets.
Javid Kahn (3/18) and Chris Clarke (3/48) had Keysborough at 4/44 before Pradeep and Peters made their move.
After the pair was dismissed, however, Keysborough lost three wickets for 24 runs and succumbed to 168.
At stumps Keysborough was 1/22.
