Students really can do

STUDENTS packed a car with more than 2100 cans of food, which they donated to the Salvation Army this week.
About 20 students from Noble Park Secondary College spent nine weeks collecting the goods, with the help of students from Yarraman Oaks Primary School Noble Park Language School and Wantirna Secondary College.
VCAL teacher and leading teacher of curriculum implementation Jamie Sweatman said the students were proud of their efforts. “It was a lot of hard work but you could tell by the smiles on their faces it was all worth it,” he said.
The food will be given to the Brunswick and Doveton Food Bank, and dispersed to people effected by the recent floods, Mr Sweatman said.
