Snow Fest returns to Springvale

Lana, 6, got an early sample of 80 tonnes of snow headed for Springvale Snow Fest 2019.

The annual event was recently crowned as the state’s major event of 2018 in the Parks and Leisure Awards of Excellence Awards.

“Springvale Snow Fest is a much anticipated event on Greater Dandenong’s calendar,” Greater Dandenong mayor Roz Blades said.

“It offers visitors a chance to experience all the fun of the snow without having to leave the city.

“Many people living in the City of Greater Dandenong have never visited the snow so this event is quite a unique experience for them.”

The festival features real snow from Mt Buller, live entertainment, a snow dome with a circus workshop, costume making and magic show, rides, real husky dogs, ice sculpting and snow princesses.

A smorgasbord of 28 different traders will be serving food.

The day will be topped by a spectacular fireworks display.

Free parking is available at the number 8 car park off Balmoral Avenue

Springvale Snow Fest 2019 is on Sunday, 28 July from 12pm to 7pm.
