AFTER what could only be described as a horrid start to the season, the Dandenong Rangers still remain in play-off contention at the Christmas break.
With more injuries to the team than ever, coach Gary Fox has done a remarkable job to keep Dandenong in the hunt for a top four position. Dandenong has beaten two of the top four sides in the past month, and sits one win behind fourth-placed Bulleen.
Jenna O’Hea leads the WNBL in average points per game (18.8), and Caitlin Ryan is ninth (14.4). Emily McInerny averages 2.8 steals per game, a league high.
With Sam Richards and Kathleen Macleod beginning to find form, Fox is still hopeful of making the play-offs.
“We have to keep winning. If we keep winning, we are a good chance. If we lose a game, it will make it tough,” Fox said.
