Demons in a romp

SPRINGVALE Districts is shaping as the only division two team likely to challenge the undefeated Dingley after thrashing Murrumbeena by 135 points at Springvale Reserve on Saturday.
An eight-goal-to-one opening quarter set up the percentage-boosting victory for the Demons, also unbeaten after three starts.
Mark Williams spearheaded Springvale’s attack once again, kicking seven goals and boosting his season tally to 24.
Leighton Ross booted five goals for Springvale.
Best on ground for the Demons were Neil Sjostrom and Adam Nichols.
This Saturday Springvale hosts Lyndale in the local derby.

THE hapless Parkmore Pirates sailed into murky seas yet again and this time copped a 129-point drubbing at the hands of Hampton.
It was Parkmore’s third consecutive 100-point-plus annihilation, but a marked improvement on the 246-point belting it received in round two.
Best afield for the Pirates were Jayde Handfield and Bo King.
Raymond Garner booted two of Parkmore’s five goals.
This Saturday Parkmore travels to Oakleigh to clash with the Districts’ side.
