VICTORIAN ratepayer groups opposed to the Melbourne 2030 planning strategy will protest for one last time this year.
The Dandenong Residents’ and Ratepayers’ Association is among the Planning Backlash alliance, organised early this year by Mary Drost.
The group is comprised of various ratepayer and resident action groups from across the state that are opposed to Melbourne 2030 principles, including the encouragement of high-density residential developments.
The alliance’s next protest is this Sunday at Camberwell Train Station at 2.30pm.
Ms Drost said this was the “last chance before the (state) election” for residents and ratepayers opposed to Melbourne 2030 to publicly protest the planning strategy.
