A SPRINGVALE frozen and refrigerated food business may be able to obtain a retail permit after City of Greater Dandenong councillors went against recommendations from officers who said the application went against planning guidelines.
The Sandown Road business is operating as a warehouse. The council received an application for the site to be also used as a ‘convenience shop’.
The application also attracted two objections and a petition signed by 24 people concerned about additional traffic in the residential area. An alternative recommendation will be put to the council on 14 November.
