Water workers help with clean up

SOUTH EAST Water dabbled in corporate and social responsibility last week as its staff took part in Clean Up Australia Day activities across Melbourne’s south-east.
South East Water acting CEO Kate Vinot said working with the community was an integral part of the company’s strategy.
“We strive to deliver improved social, economic and environmental outcomes from our activities and community involvement is a terrific way to achieve this,” Ms Vinot said.
“Transferring the diverse range of skill sets that our staff members possess helps us to build strong relationships with many local organisations at the grass roots level.”
Nearly 50 staff participated in Clean Up Australia Day activities last weekend, collecting approximately 40 bags of rubbish which was recycled or disposed of at transfer stations.
“It was great to see so many staff members get involved with Clean Up Australia Day and help make a real difference to our local environment,” Ms Vinot said.
“We are committed to building meaningful, beneficial relationships with our local community and we are always looking for volunteering opportunities.”
