Flush with cash

POLICE say they have arrested a man attempting to flush money down a motel toilet following an armed robbery in Dandenong on Sunday.
The King George Parade milk bar was raided shortly before noon on Sunday 13 July with the attendant handing over a small amount of cash to the robber, who then fled on foot.
The attendant and another person then followed the thief who fled across the Princes Highway and into Motel Formula One.
Police attended the scene and located a man hiding in a women’s toilet attempting to flush cash away.
A 40-year-old Dandenong man has been questioned by police and remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court this week.
