Business festival is on the cards

GREATER Dandenong will host a five-week business festival, starting early August, to show off the strength of its networking and support groups.
The festival, called Greater Dandenong On Show, will run between 4 August and 12 September with a range of activities available to local businesses.
The City of Greater Dandenong’s Economic Development Unit, Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce, South East Business Networks, South East Melbourne Manufacturers’ Alliance, South East Development, the Victorian Business Centre and Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development, and Dandenong Retail Traders’ Association — all hosting events.
Local business owners can learn about visual merchandising, grant application writing, sustainability, online marketing and shoestring marketing while advice from industry leaders could also be obtained.
Presentations on international trade by the Australian Tax Office, Australian Customs, and Australian Quarantine and Inspection Services would also be made.
